Kayak Camping Trips
AOA provides all inclusive, fully customized river camping trips in the Ozark and Ouachita mountain regions.
Picture this, you and your family arrive at a gravel boat launch deep in the Ozark mountains greeted by your guide who has your kayaks ready, along with the canoe packed for a three-night adventure. As you push off, leaving your worries with your vehicle, you float over crystal-clear waters through a breathtaking mountainous landscape. As you are propelled down river the wildlife lines the banks, colorful fish swim right beneath your boat, and bald eagles soar overhead.
By dusk, you pull up to a gravel bend in the river and relax by the crackling fire while your guide prepares a gourmet streamside dinner and sets up camp for the night. After your meal, you gaze the serene, star filled sky until you retreat to your tents.
The following days and nights bring more unforgettable memories: floating down a picturesque stream, swimming in refreshing pools, fishing, and enjoying delicious campfire meals. When the journey comes to an end you arrive at your vehicle-shuttled ahead by our team-leaving the cleanup to us. Refreshed and filled with cherished memories, you're ready to take the magic of the Ozarks home.
Without the proper knowledge and respect, the river can be a very dangerous place. Preventable accidents occur in Arkansas every year by inexperienced river paddlers. A seasoned guide allows you enjoy your trip with peace of mind.
Make the most of your time by letting a guide do the more difficult, time consuming work, allowing you to focus on quality time with friends and family or chasing that trophy bass.
Planning an overnight river trip has many different facets such as launch and take out access points, water level of the river, favorable camping areas, meal planning, and of course bringing the proper gear. Take the stress out of it and let your guide plan a trip for you!
River trips, especially multi day trips can be rather difficult to pace, putting a scheduled finish date and time at risk. An experienced guide keeps you from checking your maps and watch every 30 minutes worrying if you're moving fast enough, or blowing through allotted days float in half a day wishing you would of slowed down to enjoy more views.
Time to plan your next adventure!
